Dear Parents and Students,

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Austin High School.  It is a great pleasure to know that your child is part of this wonderful and historic school.  I look forward to meeting you and your child.  Let me assure you that all students at Austin High are fortunate to have the finest faculty and staff in the city of El Paso.  I cannot express how proud I am to be a part of this truly amazing team.  Our goal is to work together to build a most positive school experience for your child in the coming school year.   Austin High will continue setting the standard of excellence for all schools to follow.

Austin High School is filled with traditions.  These traditions are based on high academic, athletic, and extra-curricular expectations for all students.  As Panthers we all take pride in our accomplishments and traditions.  These traditions are kept alive for all generations that will one day be a part of Austin High School.

Fall is always exciting and very busy. Parents, I encourage all of you to take part in every aspect of your child’s high school experience.  There are so many activities during the school year for your child to be able to participate.  Homecoming week falls mid October and the Homecoming game is on October 6,2017.  However, let’s not forget other activities such as band and orchestra performances, as well as, volleyball, tennis, cross-country, swimming and later on in the fall wrestling and basketball.  In the spring we look forward to academic competitions and the spring sports, such as soccer, baseball, softball, track, etc.  This is just a glimpse of the year.

Once again, my most heartfelt welcome to all of you!  I encourage all parents to take an active role in their child’s education.  Together we can make your child’s educational experience positive and unforgettable.
